In reflection on my coursework in the MAET program, I have grown in not only my use of technology but personally as an educator. Learning to link technology pieces into lessons within my kindergarten Montessori classroom has helped move my early elementary students from concrete to abstract concepts in some cases. It has also provided extended practice with target skills to increase student comprehension. Today’s learner operates in a world of continually changing technology. It is my calling as an educator to meet these needs in the classroom.
Below is a small representation of the technology tools I've applied to my education background, both theory and practice. I've selected each showcase piece in it's application and variety to create a diverse collection.

Montessorium: Linking the classroom to technology. This program is an app I've downloaded for Ipad/Smart Board use in my classroom. It provides practice in letter/sound tracing, spelling and short story writing and basic math concepts...based on manipulatives available in the Montessori classroom.
This project involved lesson planning with a "Maker Kit", I chose the Makey Makey kit. The kit essentially can be atttached to a conductive object to interact with technology in a way the maker designs.
This was a collaborative effort with MAET classmates on solving a "Wicked " problem . The problem given to us was failure to learn. My group used S'more for a multimedia presentation of our solution.
This is an actual classroom website I keep up to communicate with parents though links, online calendars, newsletters and more. I also use Smilebox, an electronic scrapbook program to share classroom photos. It is not posted here, for the privacy of my students.

Weebly: A hybrid math website I designed for the kindergarten Montessori classroom. Technology interfaced with Montessori manipulatives in the classroom.
There is so much technology available for special needs students. This was an exploration into Kurzweil technology for reading and comprehension and text/speech aid in Learning Disabled students.
This project was a digital storytelling project about a student journey in kindergarten language/writing skills. I filmed/narrated the short story and it was then posted as a YouTube clip for sharing on my Wordpress blog.
This is a Smartboard lesson using an interactive ten frame for a math lesson with kindergarten students. The technology piece really extended the target practice and gave them solid one to one correspondence for this math unit.
